Getting Better...

This novel is classified as a chick-lit. I really enjoyed reading this. I can say na I can relate to it kasi so masaya sya basahin. Anyway this novel is about Karen and her world. Advertising agency. Ups and downs of her lovelife. Her friends.

For me the story is realistic. The author cited specific places that made me feel that the story is real. Another is the events in the story can really happen. Like cheating of your boyfriend with your friend, another is there's a part wherein the pitch in advertising is mentioned (which really happens in ad agencies.) The story reflected different things, like some women now are liberated and some men now are metrosexual (or most likely yung pinagkakamalan na natin gay pero di naman talaga.)

Smaller Smaller Circles...

It is a crime fic novel. I also enjoyed reading this, because I'm fond of watching crime scene shows. The story is basically about the two priest who happened to be a forensic anthropologist and clinic psychologist. They were able to solve the mystery of serial killer.

The author was able to described our country's stand in terms of crimes.

Example nun is yung Nida Blanca case, naglabas lang ng false suspect for publicity or for whatever reason.

2. Another is yung about sa fingerprint, malabo daw na maidentify yung tao. Which is true, di naman automated yung system natin sa fingerprints. Ano yun manually hahanapin nung investigator yung kamatch na print?

3. Media is part of the crime scene.

4. Abused na pero walang ginawa. Or may nawawala na hindi naman nireport. Siguro ang thinking ng mga tao (esp. the lower class) is wala naman sila magagawa since mahirap lang sila. And feeling nila di sila iintindihin pag nagreport sila. So might as well wala na lang sila gawin.

Napansin ko lang sa novel, since crime fic sya dapat napapaisip yung reader kung sino talaga yung killer or what. Kaso masyado given yung details, so ang tendency is may idea ka na kung sino yung killer. And nareveal sya at the middle part of the story. That's why ang effect is parang ang dragging na ng last part.

That's all! :)

although media can be found "everywhere", let's not take it negatively, unang-una, it's part of their job; to give what the audience need and what they want. pero syempre, may mga ethical dilemmas pa rin yung ginagawa nila kasi minsan, they are already violating the right of privacy ng subject nila.
hmm... sobrang bias ng justice system dito sa pilipinas, kung sino yung mas mayaman, syempre, sila yung mas papanigan ng mga law makers, wala nga naman sila makukuha sa mga lower class and that's the truth. kya di ko rin masisisi sila kung bakit di na sila nagrereport sa pulis when something happens...

in the first novel i agree that its nice to read that kind of story. i agree that some men are being misunderstood for the way they act that some people think that they are gay.

on the second novel, i also agree with you with the part that you think you already know who the killer is, because the writer almost reveals it. another is i also agree that the poor filipino will just keep quiet when one of their family member was killed, because they're reason is "wala kaming pera pangbayad" etc...
